Davenport Village

About The Neighbourhood
Historically home to many Italian multigenerational families, Davenport Village is becoming a hotspot for young couples and young families. That said, the neighbourhood’s heritage is alive and well thanks to the presence of shops and cafés that have been around for years, where you’ll frequently spot friendly older residents enjoying a morning or afternoon coffee.
Due to the rising demand and cost of urban homes, the Davenport Village enclave, with its more affordable pricing, is attracting many first-time buyers looking for an urban home. With short streets stretching to its southern boundary, it actually evokes the feel of a small town. Be prepared for all your neighbours to know your name!
Take a stroll along Davenport Road and you’ll see a number of independent restaurants and coffee shops popping up, including Dante’s Inferno, BOB Coffee Bar and The Sovereign Espresso Bar. It’s only a matter of time until others join them, which is great news for the neighbourhood.
With Regal Heights and Wychwood just north of Davenport Village, access to parks and recreational facilities is only a short walk or bike ride away. If you don’t feel like climbing the Davenport hill though, you’ll find plenty of parking in both of these neighbourhoods.
